Bride

It was a rainy day in May and I was exhausted from the night before.  I had my high school reunion & Maria's 40th Birthday.  I did a tasting in Port Chester that day.  Charlie wanted to celebrate our 4 year Anniversary & take me out for a nice dinner.  Part of me really just wanted to go home and pass out.  But I pushed though and we went out.  We started our journey at Frankie & Johnny's in Rye for a romantic dinner.  He even made sure we had the same table as our first date.  After dinner, he wanted to go to the beach just as we had on the first date.  I knew just how special is was for us so i agreed we would stop by for a quick visit.  When we arrived at Oakland Beach we proceeded to our Flagpole bench ( first kiss spot).

Looking out to the water I coud feel the beach mist and tiny rain drops against my face.  He stood behind me holding an umbrella and I gently rested my head against his chest with my eyes closed.  He then proceeded to ask me a series of questions and the conversation went something like this:

After 4 years, do you still love me...          I replied  "I do"

After 4 years do you still want me...         I replied  "I do"

Would you hold the umbrella for me....  I replied  "I will"

As i turned to look at him he was down on his knee...                 I quickly covered my eyes and began to cry.

Then I had a brief moment of panic and thought ... oh no,     what if he was just tying his shoe?

But when I uncovered my eyes.. there he was still on one knee in the rain holding a beautiful engagement ring, asking me to marry him!!!!

For the second time that night, he brought tears to my eyes when he got down on one knee again in front of my daughter & asked if she would be his stepdaughter.  It was truly an Amazing Moment in my life...

Here we are Planning our Wedding.....

That's exactly how it went! ;-)
